Annie The Musical is Back on Broadway
Thursday, November 8, 2012
Thanks to The Moms, I had a chance to see the new revival of Annie while it was still in previews. It has its official opening tonight, November 8, 2012. The new cast of Annie is phenomenal and received a long standing ovation the night I was there.
With wonderful, catchy songs such as "It's The Hard Knock Life" and "Tomorrow" it is difficult not to enjoy Annie. Lilla Crawford, as Annie, is absolutely amazing. And all of the orphans were fantastic. Little Emily Rosenfeld, as Molly, was so funny she almost stole the show. Of course, Katie Finneran was great as usual as Miss Hannigan, but I especially enjoyed Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks.
What a fantastic show for all ages. Annie is a perfect show for the entire family to see together. I saw Annie without kids and loved it. And all of the kids in audience went wild for it. Annie is especially perfect for tweens although I know teenagers would love it also.
For more information on Annie and tickets to the musical, go to the Annie The Musical website. Take your family to see Annie. What a wonderful holiday present it would be!
Full disclosure: I received a free ticket to see Annie in previews. However, all opinions are my own.

My father played in a local production of Annie. Not just because of this Annie is one of my all time favorite. I have seen it many times in many different theaters. I am always amazed on the dog they choose.
ReplyDeleteThis Sandy was adorable. The little kids in the audience especially got a big kick out of her.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to see that play. How exciting that it's back, and that you got to go!
ReplyDeleteI have seen tv versions, amateur versions, but not the broadway version! I would love to though!
ReplyDeleteI had never seen the Broadway version either until now. It is so much better than the movie.
