I recently discovered a bunch of great apps that I have to share. These apps are in a variety of topics - music, TV, art and technology, however what they have in common is that they are all very useful. Better yet, each app is either free or almost free.
Polkast - Free - Apple iOS, Android, PC and Mac
Pokast let you access all of the photos, music, document and other files from your computer on your tablet or smartphone. No dealing with syncing or storage limits. Keep all of your files stored only on your computer to keep them secure, yet use them on the go. Simple to set up, the app does it all.
Headquake - $.99 - Apple iOS
The Headquake mobile app automatically syncs to users’ existing iTunes music database to provide users with the ability to listen to any stereo content in a natural environment with Absolute 3D sound. You can listen to your iTunes library or playlists directly in the Headquake app but with sound enhancement that you can control. It works better on some songs than others.
Lookout - Free - iPhone, Andoid
The Lookout app will help you locate your iPhone or Android smartphone if you lose or misplace it and also provides security and backup for your phone. It helps keep your mobile information private and automatically updates your mobile data. What happens if you lose your phone? Lookout provides a variety of ways to find it. It will locate your phone on a map through GPS. You can also have the Lookout app sound a loud alarm. With Lookout premium for Android you can also lock your phone and if you give up looking, you can remotely wipe all its data.
TV Guide - Free - Apple iOS
The new TV Guide Mobile app, launched in August 2012 is much better than before and is extremely useful. One great new feature is TV Guide's Watchlist. When fans add shows, sports teams, actors and movies to their Watchlist, it shows them on a single screen all the ways to watch -- on TV, on demand, streaming and DVD. Fans link to ABC, ABC Family, CW, Hulu Plus, HBO GO, MAX GO, Crackle, iTunes and more to watch their favorites. Other features are a social check-in and discussion area, video search and channels, original TV articles and a complete TV listings grid.
