Make Your Home a Smart Home with Control4

When Control4 offered to give me smart home features in my living room I jumped at the chance to finally see what having a smart home is like. It is even better than I thought it would be.
In my home, the living room electronics are my husband's domain. Between the cable, video games, Blu-ray player and all the crazy audio setting for his speakers, I had trouble just watching TV in that room. There were so many controllers, input settings and other settings, it was way more complicated than entertainment should be.
In came Control4. We now have one controller that works the cable, Blu-ray player, video game console, music AND the lights. The best part is the controller is its simple to use interface. There is no need to remember any input codes, everything is done for you. And, if you don't want to have any controller lying around, you can use your Apple or Android mobile device as the controller. Better yet, there is no need to point your controller at the devices to work. If you want to raise the volume when you are in the next room, no problem.
Control4 also has other ways to make your home a smart home. Options that I did not get are climate control and security. That same controller can be used to regulate heat and air conditioning and lock your doors and set your alarm. And you can start small and add features or rooms a little at a time.
