Kristen Davis and Tammy Blanchard
"Of Two Minds", a new Lifetime Original movie premiering March 10, 2012, takes on the topic of mental illness. Tammy Blanchard plays "Baby", a schizophrenic, who must move in with her older sister "Billie" (Kristen Davis of Sex and the City) and her family, after their mother dies. "Of Two Minds" also co-stars Oscar winner Louise Fletcher.

I have never personally known anyone with schizophrenia, so I am not anyone to judge, but I thought that Tammy Blanchard did a fantastic job as Baby. I really felt that I understood her struggles and learned more about what schizophrenia is about. "Of Two Minds" deals with how her illness affects not only Baby, but her entire family.

The family story is what "Of Two Minds" is really all about. I think that this is the first time I've seen Kristen Davis not playing someone who is all happy and light. You can see the constant weighing of the guilt and loyalty she feels towards her sister with the despair and worry about how Baby is affecting her life and that of her husband and kids, especially her teenage son.

The movie had me on a roller coaster throughout and I liked that the ending felt realistic. Of Two Minds will debut on Lifetime Saturday, March 10, at 8 pm ET/PT. I highly recommend it.
