Free Kindle app for PCs and Macs
Many people that I've spoken to lately think that because they don't own an Amazon Kindle or a tablet such as an iPad with a Kindle app, they can't buy or read Kindle ebooks. They are completely mistaken. Amazon offers FREE Kindle apps for both the PC and the Mac, so that everyone can take advantage of eBooks.

Amazon makes it simple to download and use the free Kindle apps. Here is the page to download the Kindle for the PC. However, if you are not very tech savvy and want to be walked through it step by step, Amazon has a page, Getting Started with Kindle for PC, which helps you with every step along the way. In addition to downloading the app, this page walks you through setting up your Amazon account if you don't already have one and how to use Kindle gift cards.

Mac owners can find the same two pages, the Kindle Mac download page, and the Getting Started with the Kindle Mac.

After you've bought you first book and are ready to start reading, Amazon has more help pages for you. On the web pages, Using Kindle for PC and Using Kindle for Mac, you can learn about page numbers, navigation tools, using the dictionary, customizing your reading, highlights and notes and much, much more.

Did you already know about the free Kindle apps for the computer? If not, will you now download the app and begin buying and reading eBooks?
