The one major advantage of owning a Blackberry over other smartphones is having actual buttons to text or type with. I am an iPhone lover and actually like the new Windows phone also, but the main drawbacks with these phones are the touchscreens. However, I found a product at CES that helps - txtRng;)

txtRng;) is a little black ring with a stylus tip attached. They are sold in pairs. You wear them on your thumbs and it solves many problems:

  • Much more precise typing because you are hitting each key with a small round tip of a stylus
  • If you have fat thumbs (like me) you can now type much more easily. I had to type with my forefinger because my thumbs were so big.
  • If you have long fingernails, no problem anymore.
  • No more smudges all over your screen. Only fingers make smudges, not styluses.
  • It can also be used for drawing or anything else you might use a stylus for on a tablet or smartphone.
I tried the txtRngs out at CES and loved them. The best part is, they are only $29.99 for a pair of two and they come with a clip to keep them attached together when out and about. Check them out on the txtRng;) website.
