In 2008, Tiffany Rubin's six-year-old son, Kobe, was abducted by his biological father from his home in Queens, NY and taken to Seoul, Korea to live. The Lifetime Movie, Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story, is a dramatization of the harrowing months that Tiffany spends looking for her son and the dramatic rescue in Korea.

Taken From Me stars Academy Award nominated actress Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as Tiffany Rubin and Terry O'Quinn (Lost) as Mark Miller, the man that runs the charitable organization, The American Association for Lost Children, and that flies to Korea with Tiffany and is instrumental in the rescue. Also starring Beverly Todd (The Bucket List) as Tiffany's mother Belzora.

Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story will premiere on Lifetime Movies on Monday, January 31 at 9pm ET. Directly afterward, at 11pm ET, an all-new hour long documentary will premiere - Beyond the Headlines: The Tiffany Rubin Story.

In Beyond the Headlines, Tiffany will tell her harrowing story in her own words. The documentary will also include interviews with all of the key players - kidnapped son Kobe Lee, Tiffany's mother Belzora Cason, Mark Miller and others involved. Also featured will be personal photos, documents and the locations involved.

I haven't seen the documentary, but I did get a chance to screen Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story and highly recommend it. It offered just the right balance of heartbreak, drama, action and excitement. The acting was top-notch (it was especially great to see Terry O'Quinn again). Now that I feel so invested in their story, I am looking forward to watching Beyond the Headlines: The Tiffany Rubin Story when it airs on January 31.
