Chuck and Heroes are coming back next Monday, February 2nd, and they are going to face much stiffer competition. Chuck now has to go up against House, in addition to the CBS comedies, The Big Band Theory and How I Met Your Mother. And Heroes now has to contend with not only Two and a Half Men, but 24. I am very glad that I own a DVR.
Chuck isn't taking any chances. The February 2nd episode, "Chuck vs. the Third Dimension" is in 3D! Piggybacking on the Super Bowl from the day before, everyone can keep their 3D Super Bowl glasses for this episode. And, they are going the guest star route also. Dominic Monaghan, Lost's deceased Charlie Pace, guest stars as a rock star. NFL star Jerome Bettis will also guest in this episode. I'm sure we will see many Chuck ads during the Super Bowl.
Here is a clip of Dominic Monaghan and the cast of Chuck discussing this episode (sorry about the 10 second commercial from NBC):
Heroes first episode back, "A Clear and Present Danger" needs to make its fans happy. Word is that plans are to streamline heroes and make it less complex. It would be wonderful if it could return to its season one magic. The episode begins with all the Heroes back to living their old lives, except Nathan.

I am definitely watching Chuck and Heroes live Monday night and recording my other favorites. These shows are both family favorites of ours and having Charlie from Lost on Chuck is going to really make it fun to see.

I'm looking forward to Chuck. I haven't seen it in a while because of Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I'll watch Heroes, too, even though I've really not had any interest in it this year. It sounds like it'll be better now.
You forgot to mention "The Bachelor" which is also on opposite "Heroes." I will be DVRing Heroes until The Bachelor is over. The new Heroes does sound much better (streamlined) than the last few episodes!
I am addicted to CHUCK, maybe it's the way he wears his NERD uniform and it highlights his crotch--but I was a bit dissapointed with this NEW episode. It just didn't have the usual high moments of comedy for me--am I being too harsh? Who knows, right now, I don't even know where I am!
Keep up the good work!
Nando
Chuck is also one of my favorite shows. This past episode might not have been as funny but I still loved it. Might be partially because I'm a Dominic Monaghan fan and I had the 3D glasses.
