Do you like to listen to music from your computer when you are on the Internet? Do you find it a hassle to go back and forth from your web browser to iTunes, Rhapsody or whatever media player you use. FoxyTunes lets you control almost any media player right from your browser.
Until recently, FoxyTunes was only available for Firefox; it is now also available for Internet Explorer. To download this simple extension just go to the FoxyTunes homepage where you will find 4 sections to the page. The top left section has a big button that says Get Foxy Tunes. Just click that button and on the next page click the download link for either Firefox or Internet Explorer. Once downloaded all you need to do is click the button on the FoxyTunes bar with the musical note on it and where it says player, select the media player that you use to play your music. That is it. Then right there from your browser, you can start, stop, pause and rewind your music. You can also click a button that will tell you the name of the artist, album and song you are listening to and click another button that will take you to FoxyTunes Planet.
FoxyTunes Planet is a fairly new venture from FoxyTunes. There is a search box on the main page and all you do is enter in an artist or song. The result page will give you:
I highly recommend telling your teenagers about FoxyTunes. If they don't already know about it already, you are sure to score points with them. If they say they know what FoxyTunes is, they probably just know about the regular FoxyTunes for your browser. Make sure you tell them about the new FoxyTunes Planet. Chances are they have not yet heard of this and would probably love it.
